The most important thing when coming to see a psychotherapist is whether you feel really understood by them and safe enough to explore the thoughts and feelings that motivate what you do or who you are

I am a psychotherapist who has been in practice for over 20 years. I offer psychotherapy long-term or short-term, to adults, adolescents and couples, in my rooms, online or by telephone.

  • My role is to listen, to understand and to identify what it is that you seek help with. Our work will be about building an understanding of what is going on internally and externally for you, in particular, the things about yourself that you may not be aware of. As we gain this understanding of you, it becomes easier for you and I to make sense of what is happening within you, why you act and feel a particular way in certain situations and relationships. By understanding and acting on these things, you will be able to bring about change in your life.

  • Over the past 20 years I have helped people with diverse experiences, including:

    • Anxiety

    • Depression

    • Life transitions

    • Perceptions and interpretation of ourselves

    • Relationships

    • Sexuality and gender, including LGBTQIA+

    • Trauma

  • I am a registered clinician with Australian and international associations and services, including:

    • Australian Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (ARCAP)

    • Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA)

    • Australian and New Zealand Association of Psychotherapy (ANZAP)

    • International Association for Relational Psychoanalysts and Psychotherapists (IARPP)

    • Victims Services, NSW

I am trained in the following models of contemporary psychology: object relations, self-psychology, the Conversational Model and Relational psychotherapy.

It is much easier to bring about change in our lives when someone is there to help us do that
